Pam has been the Owner/Director of Brushwood’s School of Dance since its beginning in Orange County in 1975. Pam studied dance in Richmond under Julia Mildred Harper, was a member of the Richmond Ballet until 1971, and was a member of Miki Liszt Dance Company in Charlottesville. She is a member of Dance Masters of America. Pam lives in Gordonsville with her husband Steve, and when not teaching she enjoys her family (including her 4 granddaughters and one grandson), sewing, church activities and traveling.

Four County Players
Founded in 1973, Four County Players is Central Virginia’s longest, continuously operating community theater. Hiking at Montpelier and Grelen
In addition to the rich history of the property, Montpelier has eight miles of walking trails open to the public! Winding through an old-growth landmark forest, the trails offer spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Recently a beautiful connector trail was also added, linking the Montpelier trail to Grelen Nursery.
Hiking at Shenandoah National Park – Appalachian Trail
Only a short drive from the Gordonsville area, Shenandoah National Park has over 500 miles of trails, including over 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Home to many bird species, deer, squirrels, and even bears, every hike is unique and memorable. As spectacular as the area is, visiting during the fall foliage will give you an experience that is unforgettable.

Liberty Mills Farm

Oakland Heights Farm – Horseback Riding
Guided trail rides at Oakland Heights Farm will take you through the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in an area steeped in history. As you meander through the beautiful countryside, you will pass Civil War camp sites and battlegrounds. For more than 35 years, they have hosted trail rides for a variety of occasions, including marriage proposals, birthday parties, family reunions, church groups, corporate team-building, or a day in the country.
